How To Use Your Browser’s Search Function

To find anything quickly on a webpage you are viewing:
For Google Chrome:
- Hold down the ctrl button and tap F
- A small box will drop down in the top right of the window you have open.
- Type your search term in the box.
- As you're typing, the text will be highlighted on the page you are looking at.
- small horizontal bars will also appear in the vertical scroll bar along the right side of the current window indicating the location of all of the search matches (hits).
- Use the up and down arrows to the right of the search box to progress to the next instance.
- Or use the horizontal scroll bar button to pick any of the "hits" to your search.
For Firefox
- Hold down the ctrl button and tap F
- A search bar will appear at the bottom part of your current browser window.
- Type in your search term in the box next to Find:
- As you're typing, the text will be highlighted on the page you are looking at.
- Use the Next and Previous arrows to navigate.
For Internet Explorer
- Hold down the ctrl button and tap F
- A search bar will appear at the top part of your current browser window.
- Type in your search term in the box next to Find:
- As you're typing, the text will be highlighted on the page you are looking at.
- Use Next and Previous in the search bar to navigate, or...
- If you hit ENTER the screen will display the next find instance, if there is one.
For any other browser go to that browsers website.
