Facet 40105 Installation

I got a PM asking for pictures of my install with the TT bash plate so here they are. This is a 40105, mounting wise, it's exactly the same for a 40171 except the 40171 is silver (I guess it only got second place ).

If you are mounting these pumps with the stock bash plate you can just cut the stock pump plastic tabs off the bottom of the battery box and bolt the pump directly to the bottom of the battery box with both metal tabs like this:




As you can see the pump is about 3/4 of an inch away from the oil filter housing:




And this position results in this with the TT bash plate:




So, the relocate the pump higher up, to clear the bash plate, you need to bend the rear tab on the fuel pump 90 degrees up so that you can line the back edge of the fuel pump up with the back side of the battery box. You then put the rear bolt through the back side of the battery box to clamp the tab you just bent, thus:




And now the pump is fitted right up to (but not touching) the oil filter housing:






And there you have it.......
